NLT (Netaji Library & Sports Club in Thoothoor) was started in the year 1957 at the coastal village of Thoothoor. NLT was the idea of a few visionary youths of Thoothoor who wished to bring the youths together and help them grow while also contributing to the society where they live in. Their choice of name 'Netaji' itself speaks volumes about the depth and breadth of their vision for society.
NLT which started its journey as a simple newspaper reading room has evolved as a giant organisation today with district level reputation as a library and state level recognition as a sports club particularly football. As a result, NLT is recognised as a symbol of pride for people in Thoothoor region.
Engage with our community through Sports, Education, arts and Social activities
Thoothoor Netaji Sports Academy (TNSA) was inaugurated on 2nd October 2020, as a sub organisation of NLT with a constructive focus on sports development.
NLT is dedicated to nurturing young minds by providing structured chess training programs for children from Thoothoor and nearby villages.
NLT organizes annual tournaments in football, cricket, badminton, and chess, attracting teams from coastal regions as well as other states.
NLT is a leader in Blood Donation in the district since 1990. Members of NLT are donating blood to direct beneficiaries whenever an emergency occurs, and also to blood banks by conducting blood donation camps and visiting blood banks. NLT members have received collector's awards in the past for the superior contributions to this humanity act.
Netaji Hub provides essential public utility services to support the daily needs of the community. With a focus on convenience and well-being, the hub offers mobile charging facilities and access to clean, purified drinking water for everyone.
NLT iss a socially active organization committed to community development and youth empowerment. It actively participates in various social initiatives and regularly conducts awareness programs on important issues such as drug prevention, education, and social responsibility.
